FreshBuzzer Summer Edition 2024
Subscription Management, referrals and more, read on for everything that's new this year!
As much as I try to keep the blog active, I rather add more functionality to FreshBuzzer or help folks out who are just getting started or have questions. But luckily the semi-annually "editions" theme deserves a blog post to summarize the most recent changes. Lets jump right in...
I'd like to start with my favourite addition: Referrals! I had this one planned for a long time and now it is finally reality. As FreshBuzzer refrains from any kind of paid marketing or advertisment, the main source of growth is from existing users referring new users. While this isn't the fastest way to grow it is definitely the most sustainable - and my preferred one. And now both of you get rewarded with $5 credit. Want to start referring? Check out your Referrals Page.
Next up is our latest addition: a new Help & Support Center powered by RelationKit. While this one isn't technically part of the FreshBuzzer service, it is just as critical. This year I spent quite a bit of time receiving, reading and replying to your messages. Many were questions about how the system or specific features work.
I started compiling some of these questions and their answers and will spend more time over the next months to keep improving the documentation. Of course I'm still happy to receive your messages - ideally through the new ticket system so it's easier for me to keep track of them without getting lost in my inbox.
Another recent major improvement is the Subscription & Billing Portal powered by our payment processor Stripe. Besides just handling the payment processing and subscription changes, Stripe now also provides a first class Checkout to set up new subscriptions, as well as a Portal that allows management of your subscription as well as access to your invoice history.
That is all I have for now but I do have a new evolution of FreshBuzzer planned - not sure how quickly I'm able to realize it as my main priority is to keep the service running as smoothly as before.
Cheers,
Axel
